Land Training

Land Training is offered to members of A and B squad to compliment the in pool programme provided by our coaches.

It consists of 2 different programmes, a Gym programme offered to A squad members over the age of 15 and a Pilates programme which is mandatory for A squad swimmers, but is also optional for any B squad members that wish to improve their core strength and flexibility.


Currently Pilates is on a Saturday morning directly after A squad pool training in the sports hall at The Watershed. It runs 9am - 10am and is provided by Aideen Stevens of Synergy Pilates


Our current Gym schedule runs on a Tuesday and Thursday evenings 5.30pm - 6.30 pm upstairs on the balcony area of The Watershed. Gym coaching is currently provided by Jamie Cummins and only A squad members 15 and over, who consistently attends Pilates may attend. Attendees is at the discretion of the head coach, so any swimmer wishing to avail of the programme must seek permission from John Duffy prior to attending.
